Parallel Angle

this is Michelle NOT Paulette.

STEP 1: FIND THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE, LABEL ‘O’

STEP 2: MAKE TWO CHORDS WITHIN THE CIRCLE, LABEL AB, CD

STEP 3: CREATE A PARALLEL LINE TO AB, LABEL LM

STEP 4: CONSTRUCT

STEP 5: CREATE A PARALLEL LINE TO CD, LABEL RF

STEP 6: CONSTRUCT <ROC, <FOD ; MEASURE

‘O’ the CENTRAL ANGLE ..
- gives the arc measurement
- the parallel lines and the arc measurement is the same,
so the central angel will be the same
EX.) AB is parallel to LM, so when ‘O’ connects ‘A’ to ‘L‘, and
‘B’ to ‘M’ they will have the same angle because they share
the same central angel ‘O’
